Matthew's Mini-Vacation

Lil' Matthew's had a very busy first week! Here he is meeting uncle Matt for the first time on Monday. He also took his first trip to Wal-Mart that day. It was very exciting (which he showed by sleeping the whole time!)
On Monday we decided it was our job to take grandpa to Thermopolis. He's wanted to go his last 20 or so visits to Wyoming and always gets involved with a project around our property and never makes the time. The Pozuns have also never been to the dinosaur museum, so we went there. Here they are in front of the T-Rex.
They've redesigned the first part of the museum and installed some gorgeous cases (with specimen storage below). Here's what Matt thought of it:

While Grandpa and Uncle Matt went swimming, Matt went for a drive to see the buffalo herd.


The next day we spent a little more time at home, but went back for a second trip to Wal-Mart to take family photos. You can theoretically view them online here (watson/11457). Matthew did great but the toughest part of taking pics was getting grandma and grandpa to look at the camera instead of the baby :) Matthew then had his first dinner at Svilars with great-grandma and the Pozuns. Whew! Here he is when we got home relaxing with Dad after a long day.


Today Matthew went for his first check-up. Here's a picture of him with the doctor about a week ago:



This visit was much less stressful than last week's and Matthew was alert and happy for most of it. Matthew checked out fine and now weighs 9 lbs. 2 oz., putting on 11 oz. in the past 9 days!
