3 years ago, tomorrow, we packed up Sky, Olivia and Stabler for a road trip across the country with a plan in our minds about this great adventure in Wyoming.
The weirdest part about thinking about 3 years ago, is remembering what we were thinking 3 years ago. 3 years ago I asked James to leave everything he had ever known, convince his company to let him telework and move to a little old house in the sagebrush of Wyoming. 3 years ago we agreed we would only stay in Wyoming *at most* 3 years. 3 years ago we believed that after 3 years, we would return to Virginia, return to this house

Much like 3 years ago, we spent this weekend packing for our next great adventure in this crazy life. This time we had some additional help as Matthew was eager to help us pack the pots and pans . . . or at least pile and sort them.

Thank goodness Iris is around to inspect and make sure the cabinets are completely cleared out.

Life is tough for a semi-mobile baby. He gets frustrated easily as he's starting to figure out how to navigate the world but just can't quite figure out how to get from point A to B all the time. He is a determined little man and has begun to have some mini-tantrums when we keep him out of certain areas. Here he is trying to figure out how to reach the paperweight he dropped at grandma's.
In the meantime James and I are high and dry, but much of our county is not. High temps and spring melt have created flooding in Lander, Hudson and Riverton. Here's a video James took of the flow of the Popo Agie where it runs under Main Street.
Today we took the dogs for a walk up the road to take some pics from the cliffs by the old, old highway. It's pretty bad and there are lots of sandbags being placed in both Lander and Hudson. Fingers crossed the storm tonight doesn't add much more to the mix.
