Trick or Treat!

Today we learned an important lesson: Toddler + costume = endless entertainment :-)

In our wholly unbiased opinion, Matthew is adorable. Stick him in an elephant costume and everything he does is 1000x more adorable and/or hilarious.

C'mon mom. Let's go!

And another picture just because the costume is still hilarious from the back. I especially love the padding that gave him elephant hips and a butt! Soooo cute!

And though my camera battery died before I could catch him "dancing" around the shoe store, here's a clip of a boy on a trick or treat mission!

As it ended up rainy and gross this afternoon we opted to hit the mall for trick or treating. It was perfect for Matthew's dawdling and short attention span, plus he got to walk by himself most of the time. It took him a while to warm up but by the 4th or 5th store, he'd run to any stranger holding out candy. I'll consider that a sign of awesome parenting, or something :-) He was quite the hit and there are a few little old ladies in Bozeman who stopped to take his picture. The other benefit of mall trick or treating is that it didn't interfere with dinner/bedtime so now James and I get to put our feet up with some hot, fresh cider and fight over Matthew's candy. Happy Halloween everyone!
