Lower geyser basin:
Then a quick stop at Old Faithful and a walk around!
It'd been a while since Mom and Dad had been to Old Faithful (1988) and then before that it was probably their honeymoon! They're looking better each visit!
The Tetons:
We stopped to stretch our legs in Dubois. Matthew wanted to tackle the outdoor jackalope:
Meanwhile Amma and Catherine braved the indoor one:
And Matthew pointed out the giant poop as always :-)
We had a great week at grandma's. Mostly we hung out inside and out. The kids played lots and lots of hide and seek:
We headed up Sinks Canyon for a hike and some rock climbing:
We had our obligatory cheesewheels from Dairyland and the kids had their first cherry dipped cones:
We headed out to my aunt and uncle's one night for a bonfire and to take some treats to the chickens at the farm. The kids had a blast!
There were morning cribbage games where Matthew became quite the good luck charm for papa!
And Catherine + new blanket from her cousin JJ + empty box = hours and hours of entertainment.
We were all very excited to celebrate our cousin Tom's wedding! Catherine was pretty jazzed about her new dress:
Matthew helped us set up for photos since we were all dressed up and took this one (or at least attempted, he was pretty jazzed up and had trouble focusing as well!)4 Generations:
The wedding ceremony was beautiful, short and sweet and ended with some very popular bubbles for the bride and groom!
Cousins, aka T-R-O-U-B-L-E!Raising a glass to Tom and Christy!
It was great to be able to catch up with a lot of the extended family, and it's always nice to run into Aunt Charlotte:
A very special Mother-Son dance:
Catherine tore up the dance floor and dragged Papa out to join her:
Cousins:
More dancing, of course the boys couldn't be within 2 feet of each other without getting physical. Story of my life these days.
Dancing with daddy:
Matthew even snuck in a dance with the gorgeous bride!
Of course our time at grandma's is always too short. We headed back to a week of recovery and now it's *sniff* time to prepare for back to school, a bittersweet moment indeed.
