So, for those who haven't heard, James and I are expected the newest Watson this summer. We had the big ultrasound today and have a healthy, having all its parts baby. Yay! He/she was being a bit of a pain and like one would expect of a child James and I might have, it was a little obstinate and only making goofy poses. No cute fetus sucking its thumb stuff for us : )
Anyway, if they're your sort of thing, the ultrasound photos are available here. Anyway, I've also been nesting like a mad woman and here are some of the projects we're working on. Here is the new "hickory oak" flooring and neutral wall paint we did in what will become the baby's room. I forgot to take a before pic, but essentially we took the flooring from bright red carpet to this : )
Speaking of flooring, here's a pic of a project I stupidly started as well. I've been annoyed by the linoleum in the kitchen because pieces of it fall apart when I mop and every time we take pics of the dogs, they happen to include some weird looking spot of the linoleum. Anyway, as I was on a frustrating phone call the other day, I started picking at it and we ended up with this:
Time and energy this week will be spent with some solvent to finish this project up, as well as move some furniture back into the nursery. The next task is to find an office for James that isn't filled with crap or where our whiny kitty isn't always hanging out.
Also, for those who are curious, James and I will not be raising any sheep this year. We still have a freezer full from the last two. I am looking at chickens, so those adventures may be posted soon!

Was that the flooring underneath the carpet and you just refinished? Or, did you lay down the snap-on wood flooring like you guys did in Reston?
